B-ball at W.W.

Since Owen is so into basketball now, we've been going over to Woodrow Wilson school because they have a big paved court area and a lower goal.  Here he's actually shooting on a bigger goal since the other area was still really wet from the snow the day before.
He scores!
Miles, on the other hand, spent his time putting little rocks on top of a weed that was in the puddle.  At least he wasn't in the puddle!

Some Serious Basketball

Aside from a birthday party this weekend, Owen (and Adam, of course) spent a big chunk of the weekend watching basketball.  Owen is starting to say things like, "Call the foul" or "Just make the shot!"  He also puts up his hands and says "Ohhhhh" and then "Whoosh" during free throws.
They even watched the Division II championship game.  Fascinating. . . .

17 Miles on TREADMILL

Because of the nasty weather I was forced to either skip my long run or do it on the treadmill. So it was 2+ hours of treadmill time.  At least I was able to pass the time with my individual TV.... let's see, I caught most of a lifetime movie, "The Other Woman" (an 80's version of Stepmom), and some reruns of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians"--what a dumb show, two of the sisters were arguing with the other one because she was rude to them in front of the guy servicing her Bentley.  Oh well, it made the time pass more quickly.

Spiderman

The kids are obsessed with Spiderman these days. . . even I think these little feet look cute, and I am anti-character clothing.

It's Over...

Sadly spring break is over :(  The kids and I had a great week which finished with a girls' shopping trip in KC.  The kids got to spend the night with my parents (without either one of us which they think is really cool).  Quint and Susan joined us for dinner so all of us Lebo-ites shared some laughs!
Which ones do you think I bought?

Dog Beds Done

Adam saw some "orthopedic" dog beds at Target (felt like egg shell mattress pad in a pillowcase).  He came home saying we (meaning I) should just make them one rather than pay $50 each--especially since we are prone to throwing them away when they seem gross!  So. . . $14 (mattress pad) + $6 (fabric--cute stuff for cheap) + about 20 minutes = 2 matching dog beds!  I did add a little ric-rac to give Edie's a girly touch.

Yay Cats!

We took the boys to the KSU game last night.  We actually paid for better seats, but decided to sit elsewhere so they'd have room to "spread out."  It was a fun night, the kids were very good, and Adam was mostly good :)

Some Finished Projects

In between trips to the park and playing outside as much as possible, I've managed to get a few projects off my to do list.  I saw similar notebooks on etsy and figured it would be an easy way to use up ribbon I always buy for no real reason.   Found this notebook in the dollar bin at Target.
A normal person would make one, maybe two, but no I have 12.  Not sure why I bought every interesting-looking or cheap notebook I saw.  I suppose it was my obsession with trying to use up every scrap piece of ribbon.  Maybe I can use them for gifts???. . .
Sharla, credit to you for putting this idea on your blog.  I knew I saved our Nebraska plates for some reason (luckily we lived there long enough that we had both these plates and the ugly "we live in Nebraska, but like for it to look like Arizona plates")

Restaurant Quality

Doesn't this look like it's straight out of a restaurant spread (gourmet burger)?  Found it at Pioneer Woman.  Yum!

Clean

Today was our day for doing "undesirables"--cleaning the cars, the shower, picking up the dog poop, getting new tires on my car. . . .
Fortunately for us, the boys are good help.  Today Owen ASKED if he could clean the baseboards, and whatever Owen does, Miles does too.  Hopefully they still have this attitude when they are old enough to iron or mow.

Spring Break Day 1

SO glad that Spring Break is here.  My student teacher and I graded madly on Friday and did tons of planning and copying during the week so that we could be pretty much work-free for the next week.  No big plans for break which is actually something I'm looking forward to.  We hit Aggieville for the St. Pat's parade this morning.  Nothing big (mostly just cars, people trying to get elected, and people walking dogs) but the kids had fun.  We had to trek out to Kite's East to avoid long waits for lunch.  An afternoon is the 'Ville sounded fun, but not with two kids!

To The Rescue!

Thanks Drew and Vicki for the fabulous Diego hand-me-downs.  Owen was never into Diego, but Miles DEFINITELY is!  He has carried the backpack (aka "rescue pack") with all of the movies, books and wallet inside for three days straight.

My Helper

Since Adam was gone for a class this weekend, Owen was my #1 helper.  This included getting Miles ready for bed.  Owen put Miles in this ensemble and proceeded to tell me that he put Miles' in his "vest" (vest = robe, I have no idea why he insists on calling a robe either a vest or an apron....)

Last Home Game

Miles came with me to the last home BB game of the season.  He set up shop and watched Diego. I'm still trying to figure out my new camera--without reading the instructions.  'it looks like I have the "blur" setting on.

Lovin' the Weather

We hit the park today so we could enjoy this great weather.  We are going to make the rounds to the different parks over the next couple of days.
There is no place they won't wrestle.
Swinging on his own.
Owen loves to jump off this merry-go-round while it's still in motion.  And, so does Miles.

30 Years Down

We had a great weekend in KC celebrating my brother's 30th birthday.  After dinner at Quint and Susan's, it was a four hour limo ride for 24 of us!   Great times!  Thanks and good job organizing it all Susan!

Miles thought the cheese balls were the best part of the night.
