I stumbled across this recipe on some part of the Pioneer Woman site. The kids like monster cookies, but like most things that involve cooking/baking, I hate to make them (plus they never turn out). So I was pleasantly surprised when this recipe was A) easy, B) good, and C) fast! We've made these eight times this summer--six if you take off the two pans that Newman ate.

The recipe link is in the sidebar if you want to try them out.

Best monster cookies i've ever had were from "The Bakery" in Derby Dining Center in the dorms. They are cheap and HUGE. Always a must when up studying late or for an afternoon snack. Got my mom a dozen as part of her mother's day gift and she LOVED them! And hey....wouldn't you rather buy than bake?
Made them this wknd- over half the pan is gone! Thanks for sharing- Love em !
I made them but must not have baked them long enough because they fell apart unless I refrigerated or froze them. Or maybe its the 103 degrees they were in?!
Sharla--did you let them set up very long? I think that matters. of course, I'm sure the heat didn't help. At least they are still good even in a messy glob--just ugly.
Ellen--of course I'd rather buy than bake, but since I have kids I have to make a little effort every once in a while :)
